Prof. Sunita Singh

Dr. Sunita Singh is the Honorary Secretary of InfoTech Education Society and the Founder Pro-Chancellor, of IES University, one of the most reputed and upcoming Universities of Central India, working for imparting education in the fields of Engineering & Technology, Management, Education, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Nursing & Para-Medical Courses, Fashion Designing, Teacher’s Education, Diploma Courses and Research, i.e., catering to the educational needs of a student right from Nursery Schooling up to Ph.D. level. Dr. Sunita Singh has worked with faculty, students, staff, and administration to develop and execute a strategic plan that has led the development of new programs and facilities across the colleges and departments of IES University, including restructuring the leadership at various departments, expanding the University student enrollment substantially. She is promoting and advancing innovative teaching on campus; amplifying IES University’s partnerships with Academia and Industry in Central India, and other parts of the country, thus enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration and entrepreneurial opportunity for faculty and students. She is committed to increasing access to an IES education for meritorious and ambitious students countrywide regardless of their financial status.

Prof. Abdul-Sattar Nizami

Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami has Master of Science in Engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He has a Ph.D. in Sustainable Gaseous Biofuel from University College Cork, Ireland. He worked at the University of Toronto, Canada as a Postdoctoral Fellow on alternative fuels and life cycle studies. Later, he served as an Assistant Professor and Head of Solid Waste Management Unit at the Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies of King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is currently working as a Professor (Associate) at Sustainable Development Study Centre, Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan.

He has published over 150 papers on renewable energy, alternative fuels, waste-to-energy, catalytic pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion, and resource recovery. He has delivered 46 invited talks to various national and international forums. His work has been cited more than 10 thousand times in the peer-review press, with a total impact factor over 1100 and H-index of 55. 

He is a Senior Editor in Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews (Elsevier Impact Factor 16.8), Energy & Environment (Sage Impact Factor 3.15), and Frontiers in Energy Research (IF 4.01). He serves as an Editorial Board Member in Bioresource Technology Reports (Elsevier) and Energy Sources Part B (Taylor & Francis IF 3.21). He is actively involved in community and consultation services to various international organizations, including the European Commission based IF@ULB, National Research Agency (NRA) of France, National Science Centre Poland, World Bank, and UNEP.  He is ranked among Top 2% Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University, USA. His achievements have been selected as a Role Model by US Times Higher Education World University Rankings for King Abdulaziz University as No 1 in the Arab World in 2019. His recent UNEP report was published, 'Waste Management Outlook for WEST ASIA 2019, WASTE TOWEALTH'. 



Prof. Mohammed J K Bashir

Currently, he is serving as a Professor and head of the Environmental Engineering department at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Malaysia. 

He is actively engaged in research, and international collaboration as he served as a visiting Professor at University of Indonesia 2021 and Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022, as an external expert at National Centre of Scientific and Technical Evaluation (NCSTE) in Kazakhstan. He also served as an editorial member in prestigious journals such as Environmental Technology, Processes, Water, Water Reuse, and Separations.

In terms of publication, he has published more than 250 articles, about 160 of which have been published in prestigious high-impact factor journals (WOS) such as Bioresource Technology, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Environmental Management, Waste Management, Chemosphere, Total Science of Environment, Renewable Energy, Desalination, Journal of Chemical Engineering, Process Safety and Environmental Protection, Environmental Technology, Water Science and Technology, and many others. Today his h index is 39 with a total citation of 5700.

Along with his experience in teaching, he has secured more than 20 Awards including the best Ph.D research award from the School of Civil Engineering (University Science Malaysia, 2011) and excellent teaching performance from UTAR from 2015 to 2020, top cited paper, Silver and Bronze medal from the international exhibition in science and technology, and many others.

Dr. Hossein Ganjidoust received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas in 1976, 1st MS in Industrial Management from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Missouri in 1977 and 2nd MS in Sanitary Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1978 and PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1988. From March 1995 to April 1996, he was on a Year of Sabbatical Leave At The National Institute for Resources Environment (NIRE), Tsukuba Science City, Tsukuba, and Ibaraki, Japan. For three years since March 2013, he was Science Counselor and Iranian Student Advisor in Beijing, China from the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research Technology. He has over 30 years experience in teaching and research in graduate levels and is presently engaged as Full Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Civil Environmental Engineering Faculty, at Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, I.R. Iran. Dr. Ganjidousts research interests include water wastewater, industrial and hazardous waste handling, treatment and disposal. He has supervised more than 20 research projects, and many PhD and MS students thesis. At present time, he is supervisor of 6 PhD theses and 8 MS thesis. He has published over 130 papers in scientific national and ISI Journals and over 200 conference proceedings on his research. He is co-author of the book entitled: Application of Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) in Sanitary Industrial Wastewater Treatment, Tarbiat Modares Univ. Published in February 2011 and a chapter on: Hazardous Waste Management in Islamic Republic of Iran, HWM Policies and Practices in Asian Countries published by Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Tokyo in October 2001.

Ali Ayati

Ali Ayati is an Associate Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the Quchan University of Technology, Iran, and Senior researcher in ITMO university, Russia. He is expert in the field of water treatment and, perticlarely in the synthesis and characterization of various and different bio nanomaterials, including chitosan derivatives, polyoxometalate (POM) nanocomposites, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) composites, silica aerogels, and TiO2 nanocomposites and their application in adsorption and photocatalysis processes for water decontamination. He has continually demonstrated a record of research and publishing excellence, including collaborative publications of numerous articles in top-tier academic journals.

Afshin Ebrahimi, PhD is a Professor of Environmental Health Engineering at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Over his 15-year career, he has focused on environmental engineering techniques for contaminant removal from the environment. My recent projects are using new coagulants in water treatment, Modifying filter media, Risk assessment of some Inorganic in water, Electro-chemical removal of pollutants from water resources, Membrane filtration of saline and polluted water, etc.
